  1. I made these for a pairing at a beer, wine, and bourbon tasting for a formal event. They got rave reviews. People were a little intimidated when I told them the ingredients, but once they tried them they came back for more. I was a worried they were going to be too spicy, as in hot, because I used a habanero hot sauce, but they were flavorful, not spicy hot. I'll be making more of these to give as gifts for the holidays.

  2. These are very good. Everyone liked them. They make such a nice gift (in a little gift bag) for Christmas. A little more healthy than cookies. They'll last a lot longer, too! Thanks for posting!

  3. This recipe is easy and tastes great. I really like the spicy - sweet combination of the almonds. My husband loved them!!!

I learned to cook in the Coast Guard, worked in several resturants after leaving the service, and still cook as a hobby. My birthday is January 27th, but I'm not telling what year!! I have 2 beautiful children 2 girls ages 2 and 9, a husband who is very much like a third child, a dog, a cat, and a tank full of fish. My RAK wish list: A friendly smile! A funny joke. Heat resistant rubber spatulas. Good vanilla beans. Any exotic spices. And because this is a wish list after all, a good 10" Nonstick sautee pan with deep sides!
